Geoffrey D. Semro

Geoffrey-SemroGEOFFREY D. SEMRO is one of the firm’s principals and practices in the area of real estate transactions, real estate finance (including off-balance sheet land banking transactions) and formation and representation of partnerships, limited liability companies and joint ventures. Mr. Semro received his B.A. (magna cum laude) from Claremont McKenna College in 1994 and his J.D. (with honors) from The University of Chicago Law School in 1997. Mr. Semro is a member of the State Bar of Arizona and its Real Property Section. Mr. Semro is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® 2023.

Mr. Semro’s practice includes the representation of developers, real estate investors and other property owners in the sale, acquisition, financing, leasing and development of commercial, industrial, retail, multi-family and residential real property both within Arizona and in other states. In addition, Mr. Semro represents capital sources in connection with land banking transactions in Arizona and many other states. Mr. Semro also represents real estate lenders (including banks, insurance companies, certified development companies and private money lenders) and borrowers in connection with new loans, including securitized loans, acquisition and development loans and construction loans, bridge loans, mezzanine loans, workouts and foreclosures. Mr. Semro has also represented numerous landlords and tenants in connection with industrial, retail and office leases. Mr. Semro is a Designated Attorney by the U.S. Small Business Adminstration for SBA Grow loans (formerly SBA 504 Loans).

Mr. Semro is a member and past President of the Arizona Commercial Mortgage Lenders Association,  a member and past President of the Phoenix chapter of LAI (formerly known as Lambda Alpha International), and an associate member of the National Association of Development Companies. Mr. Semro also has served on the Board of Trustees for St. Gregory College Preparatory School in Tucson.
